In a leading initiative, the Chairman of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Dr. Ajay Kumar will interact directly with nationwide government job candidates through a virtual town hall declared in a commy -edge on Friday. Virtual Town Hall will be streamful on DD News’ YouTube channel from 1 pm to 1 pm on October 1.
Kumar mentioned in a LinkedIn Post, “Encouraged to host the first UPSC Virtual Town Hall! Especially across India may be live on 1 October 2025, 12-1 pm, DD News YouTube.”
To ensure comprehensive participation, questions of candidates and stakeholders across the country will be invited via email from 28 to 30 September through email. In both submission video and text format, you can be made for Intrectwithupsk@Gmail.com.
Additionally, questions can be asked using the official hashtag #AskchairmanupSc through X, Facebook and Instagram through social media platforms in real time from 12 noon to 1 pm on 1 October.
Kumar said, “This is a unique opportunity for the aspirations of UPSC and PSC to join the chairman UPSC and listen to his views on the exam process.”

The event will provide a unique platform for candidates to join, explore clarification and attain insights into innovations that shape India’s major examination.
The UPSC conducts several exams for selected officers for the Government of India including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS).
Ajay Kumar Educational Qualification
Dr. Ajay Kumar, 1985 batch IAS officer of Kerala cadre, served as the Defense Secretary of India from August 23, 2019 to October 31, 2022. During his tenure, he implemented significant reforms, in which the establishment of major defense staff (CDS), establishment of Agneepath Scheme, ‘Defense of Atmanir Bhai’ was given.
Before joining the Ministry of Defense, he played senior roles in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, where he played an important role in executing projects such as UPI, Aadhaar, MyGov and Government E-Marketplaces under the Digital India campaign. He also played an important role in preparing the National Electronics Policy 2012.
Dr. Kumar has a B.Tech from IIT Kanpur, Masters in Applied Economics and PhD in Business Administration from Minnesota University, USA University, which was completed in three years. He is also a Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineers.
