The Fighter Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 10: The Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone-starrer showed an upward trend on Saturday. The film has earned as soon as it enters its second week. According to film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, it earned Rs 15.19 crore worldwide on the 10th day. The film is performing better overseas than in India. According to Film Trade Insider, The Fighter’s worldwide gross is now at 100% 287.7 crores. The fighter saw an opening Earning Rs 34.04 crore at the international box office. Its earnings improved in the next few days 64.57 crores on the second day, 56.19 crore more on the third day 52.74 crores on the fourth day. However, the next day, Day 5, saw a huge and unexpected decline in the fighter, when it only earned Rs. 16.33 crores.
There was no improvement on the sixth day and it earned well 14.49 crores and even less on 7th day ( 11.7 Crore) and Day 8 ( 10.24 crore). On Friday, Day 9, Fighter recorded a single point and earned Earning of Rs 9.75 crore. The film reached double digits on its second Saturday.

Fighter is directed by Siddharth Anand. It also stars Anil Kapoor along with Hrithik and Deepika. Karan Singh Grover and Akshay Oberoi are in important roles. It is being said that the film is a tribute to the sacrifice and patriotism of the Indian Armed Forces. It revolves around a new elite unit, the Air Dragons, deployed by the Air Headquarters in response to terrorist activities in the Srinagar Valley.

Talking about the film’s average response at the box office despite good reviews and word of mouth, Siddharth Anand tells Galata Plus why he feels Fighter did not perform as expected. “Fighter is a huge leap forward,” he said. How filmmakers have to do it in the country and what kind of genre it is. It is a place that is unknown and completely new. There’s no reference point for the audience, which means what they’re seeing is a bit… well… such big stars, a commercial director, achha ye viman kya kar rahi hai (What are ye viman Are you)? I feel like if this is my film, I don’t know. If you realise, a large percentage of our country is like… I would say 90 per cent of people have never flown in an aeroplane! Who hasn’t been to the airport! So how do you expect them to know what’s happening in the air?”
