The recent SC’s decision on the transfer of Stars for shelters in Delhi-NCR has created a debate on social media. There are many Indian celebrities who are dog lover and are sensitive about their issues in areas.
Actor Adivi Sesh, who actively advocates PETA policies, “as a citizen, as a citizen, who deeply believes in both letters and the spirit of law, I am seriously concerned about the recent instructions for the large scale imprisonment of street dogs in Delhi NCR. Family areas are worth living with dignity. “

“Mass imprisonment is neither human nor durable; it is a knee-shock reaction to a complex, long-term issue. We already have valid, proven and effective options, empowering carers and implementing strict punishment for cruelty and abandonment.
Actor Shriya Pilgaonkar feels, “compassion and practicality should go by hand. While I understand the need to address security concerns, sending all stray dogs to shelters is not a human or permanent solution. We do not have enough shelter for stray animals in India and instead of redeem most of the shelters that allow human beings and animals to be savedly allowed.”
About the decision:
The Supreme Court on Monday directed that all stray dogs of Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR) be scored within eight weeks and dedicated dogs to be established by civilians should be kept in shelters, making it clear that no occupied animals would be released back to the streets.
A bench by Justice JB Pardwala and R Mahadevan, listening to a petition registered at the “dangerous and harassing” growth in stray dog attacks, ordered contempt action against any person or organization that tries to obstruct the authorities to exclude the capture drive. It directed that officers in Delhi-NCR should install a helpline to register complaints of all dog bite, in which “within four hours” the aggressive animal was raised.
