After the tragedy of Jhalawar School, the lives of seven innocent children were lost and many others were injured, heartbreaking stories are emerging.
Construction of Piplodi Primary School in Jhalawar district of Rajasthan fell on Friday.
12 -year -old girl Meena and a six -year -old boy Kanha’s crying mother, I wish, God had taken her and spared her children, reported news agency PTI.
“I have lost everything … I had only two children and both have gone. My house is empty … There is no one left to play in the courtyard. I wish God would have taken me instead and spared my children,” he said.
Kanha was the youngest of the victims.
Another woman, who lost her child in the incident, questioned the role of teachers present in the school at the time of the incident.
“Teachers went out, left the children behind. What were they doing outside?” He said.
Apart from Meena and her brother, those killed were identified as Payal, Priyanka, Kundan, eight -year -old Harish and Karthik, aged 12 years.
The last rites of seven children were performed on Saturday morning – five were together on the same funeral pyre, while the other two were prepared for different flames.
Earlier, heart -breaking scenes were seen outside the Morchari of SRG Hospital in Jhalawar as mourning mothers and family members collected the bodies of their children.
Some of them stuck tightly to their children’s wrapped bodies, refusing to go, while sitting in stunned silence, struggling to come up with the loss of suddenly and shattering.
Order for high-level inquiry, compensation declared
Five school employees have been suspended and a high-level inquiry was ordered in the case.
State School Education Minister has announced compensation 10 lakhs to those families who lose their children.
Jhalawar District Collector Ajay Singh on Saturday met the grieving families to console him.
Later, he told reporters that appropriate action would be taken against those convicts. Singh said, “Five school staff have been suspended, and an inquiry committee has been formed. If necessary, an FIR will be registered. If the suspension would have to be converted into removal, it will be done,” Singh said.
