Stamor and his Downing Street Team are under pressure that the British Prime Minister expressed confidence in Mandelson on Wednesday, with Bloomberg News on Monday, despite reaching Mandelson for comment on Epstein email on Monday, 8 last week by the Foreign Office till Tuesday.
The official spokesperson of Starmer, Dave Parace, on Monday refused to say whether officers or colleagues at 10 Downing St. have come to know about the exact approach of Bloomberg, and whether Starmer defended Mandelson on Wednesday in the presence of questions of his regular Prime Ministers.
“Before PMQ, I knew that the media was interrogated, I did not know the contents of the email,” Stramer told Broadcasters on Monday. “That’s why, at that time, I replied in PMQs.”
Bloomberg’s initial message to Mandelson included 20 questions for him based on this cache of email and on 12 September to the then-Ambasador to respond. Bloomberg later wrote to Mandelson, carrying forward the deadline on Wednesday. Mandelson either did not respond to the message.
The final decision of the Stamor to sack Mandailson on Thursday – after the resignation of his Deputy Prime Minister’s former week and earlier a cabinet reshuffle – has promoted a sense of crisis around the British Prime Minister, which lags out his party in the election in the UK. Paul Ovenden, director of Stamor’s political strategy, left separately on Tuesday amid media allegations about his previous conduct.
