Starlink, the company of American billionaire Elon Musk, is going to launch its satellite internet service in India very soon. According to reports, the company can start its services in the country by the end of 2025. This is the first time that a company has got approval to provide internet directly through satellite in India. With this, fast internet can be provided in those areas where there is no mobile network or broadband facility yet.
What do you have to do for this?
First of all go to Starlink website or app and order the service. After this choose your contact details and payment method.
A Starlink kit will then be sent to your address, which will include a dish antenna, Wi-Fi router and installation tools.
Then, with the help of the Starlink app, choose a spot on the rooftop of your home or office from where the dish gets a clear view of the sky. This is necessary so that a strong signal can be received from the satellite.
Then setup: Now connect the device and turn on the internet by following the easy instructions given in the app. Your satellite internet will be operational within a few minutes.
After this the service will be activated, then the fee will be charged automatically every 30 days. The initial Starlink kit may cost around ₹30,000 to ₹35,000, while the monthly fee is reported to be between ₹3,000 to ₹4,200.
Why is Starlink special?
The aim of Starlink is to provide high-speed internet even to remote areas and villages of India, where the mobile network is weak or broadband is not available. Due to the satellite-based network, this service can work smoothly even in hilly areas, deserts or rural areas.
