How did Ajubaa do wonders?
Actually, Aditya Birla Sun Life Flexi Cap Fund was started in August 1998. Since then, this fund has given an excellent return of 21.73 percent every year and in 25 years and 7 months, this fund has increased Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.53 crore. Imagine that if a person had invested only Rs 1 lakh, then today his amount has increased more than 150 times.
How does this magic work?
Compound interest means that the interest earned on your investment is added to the principal amount next year and you then get interest on that entire amount. In this way, every year your interest gets added to the principal amount and you then get interest on that entire amount. In this way, your money grows tremendously in a short period of time.
Understand with example: Suppose you invested Rs 1 lakh in a product, on which you got 10 percent interest i.e. Rs 10 thousand. Next year, this interest of Rs 10 thousand will be added to your principal amount and the total amount will be Rs 1.10 lakh. Now 10 percent i.e. Rs 11 thousand interest will be available on it. This 11 thousand will also be added to your principal amount and next year the total amount will be Rs 1.21 lakh. Then there will be interest of 10 percent i.e. Rs 12.1 thousand on this principal amount and this interest will then be added to the principal amount next year. In this way, due to compound interest, your money grows very fast.
