A strong earthquake of 6.1 magnitude was felt near Kathmandu, Nepal on Friday morning.
However, there was no immediate report of any damage or function from the earthquake.
According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center, a 65 km east of Kathmandu was recorded in Sindhupalchowak district with a 6.1 magnitude of an earthquake in a magnitude 6.1.
Earthquakes were felt in and around the Kathmandu Valley.
Nepal is located in one of the most active tectonic zones (seismic regions IV and v), which makes the country extremely weak for earthquakes.
The Himalayan nation has seen the worst earthquake ever in 2015, during which more than 9,000 people died in a 7.8 magnitude earthquake and damaged over 1 million structures.
