Noida School Holidays: Gautam Buddha Nagar District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma has announced that schools will remain closed in Noida from today, January 3, 2025, due to the cold wave. Keeping in mind the increasing cold and dense fog, an order has been issued to close all the schools in the district from nursery to class 8.
This order will be applicable to schools of UP Board, CBSE and all other boards. This decision has been taken to protect children from cold wave and winds. The DM has said in the order that this decision has been taken giving priority to the safety and health of the students.
Due to cold and fog, it becomes challenging for children to come to school in the morning. In such a situation, schools will remain completely closed till further orders. The administration has directed all school managements to follow the order and ensure the safety of the students. Check official notice here:
The minimum temperature in Noida on Thursday morning was 9 degrees and the maximum temperature was 25 degrees. The current AQI in Noida is 170.

A sudden drop in temperature was observed on 29 December. The DM of Meerut and Baghpat districts had announced holidays in schools up to class 8 till December 31, 2024. Schools in Muzaffarnagar were ordered to remain closed till December 30, 2024.
Winter vacations start by the last week of December in most states. Holidays have been declared in all the schools of Delhi from January 1 to 15, 2025. However, many schools have remained closed since Christmas due to rain, while some schools have opted for online classes.
Apart from the winter holidays, there will be only two days of holidays in January 2025. Schools will remain closed on 17 January 2025 (Friday) on the occasion of Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti. Schools also remain closed on Republic Day on 26 January, however, this year it is on a Sunday.
