Crunchyroll launched the Indian dub of Dragon Ball ahead of the cinematic premiere of the English dubbed version in the US.
Crunchyroll took another step towards making anime more accessible to audiences around the world. In a much-awaited move, the streaming platform announced the soon launch of Hindi, Tamil and Telugu dubs of Dragon Ball DAIMA. Weekly dubbed versions of the latest iteration of the iconic saga will be available for streaming starting today (IST), November 9.
Tracking a new Dragon Ball story brought to life from creative draft to screen thanks to late mangaka legend Akira Toriyama, the DAIMA season originally premiered on October 11 as part of a stellar fall anime lineup. The new episodic premiere celebrates the 40th anniversary of the original Dragon Ball manga that first caught readers’ attention through Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in 1984. As one of the best-selling Japanese comics, the franchise has since expanded into numerous adaptations available to global audiences through translated media.

Dragon Ball DAIMA English Dub Is Also On The Way
Weekly episodes of the latest Toei Animation productions are broadcast on Fridays on Fuji TV. Internationally, the series now streams on Crunchyroll, Netflix, and Hulu in select regions. In addition to the Indian dub debuting on Crunchyroll on Saturday, the first three episodes of the Dragon Ball DAIMA English dub are set to run in select US theaters from November 10 to 12, 2024.
The Dragon Ball DAIMA special panel held at New York Comic Con on October 17 unveiled the key English dub voice actors, including the return of Stephanie Nadolny as the voice of Goku and Aaron Dismuke to play the new character Glorio.

Akira Toriyama’s brand new anime chapter is directed by Yoshitaka Yashima and Aya Komaki. Yuko Kakihara handles the series’ composition and scenarios while Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru leads the animation character designs.
Crunchyroll officially described the series: “Goku and company were living peaceful lives when a conspiracy caused them to suddenly become younger! When they discover that the cause may lie in a world called the “Demon Realm”, a mysterious young Majin named Glorio appears before them.
