Florida -based Gastroenterologist Dr. Joseph Salhab, also known as ‘The Pet Doctor’ on Instagram, shared some rich snack pairing for Liver Health on 30 April.

Here the foods are shared that listed the nutrients present and how they help support liver functions:

1. Lime with watermelon

High in citrine, antioxidant and vitamin C helps the liver to manage oxidative stress and maintain healthy blood flow.

2. Sour with avocado

The combination of intestinal -friendly fermentation and healthy fats improves the way to handle the liver sugar and store fat.

3. Kimchi with sweet potato

Probiotics and resistant starch pair to strengthen intestinal-liver connection and reduce the risk of fat buildup in the liver.

4. Walnuts with almonds

Packed with omega -3 fat and vitamin E, both proved to reduce liver fat and protect liver cells from oxidative damage.

5. Dark chocolate with berries

A powerful source of flavonoids that helps to scare the liver and maintain healthy blood vessels.

6. Kiwi with Greek Curd

Increases vitamin C, potassium, and probiotics, which is important to strengthen liver metabolism and energy production.

7. Apple with cinnamon

The apple is packed with fiber and antioxidants that are shown to protect from liver fat buildup, while cinnamon provides anti-inflammatory compounds that support liver flexibility.
