North Korea’s official Korean Central News Agency said Saturday’s test involved different types of drones designed to fly different distances to attack enemy targets on land and sea. It said the drones flew different routes before hitting the targets with precision.

Kim Jong said global trends in military technologies and modern warfare reflect the importance of drones in warfare and that the North Korean military should be equipped with better drones “as soon as possible”. KCNA said Kim called for the accelerated development and production of various systems, including “suicide drones” that can be used by infantry and special operations units.
