Delhi is observing a significant increase in seasonal flu cases, leading to upper respiratory infections with Influenza B and H1N1 that is characterized by prolonged symptoms and frequent high fever. A recent survey conducted by Loklakirils has shown that 54 percent of the signs of pigs, sore throat, cough, headache, abdominal discomfort, joint pain, and respiratory problems are among the symptoms of pigs flu present in homes.
Influenza B and H1N1 (swine flu) virus symptoms
Dr. Sanjeev Kapoor, Program Clinical Director-International Medicine, Marngo Asia Hospitals Faridabad says that Influenza B and H1N1 (swine flu) viruses can affect people from all age groups: elderly, adults, teenage and even children.

- Flowing nose
- Conjunctivitis
- Difficulty in breathing.
“If these symptoms are ignored, it can increase the risk of pneumonia, bronchitis and sinusitis,” he said.
Is there a special group affected by the virus?
Dr. Sanjeev Kapoor said that children and elderly people (extremes of age), immunocomous patients, or any type of systemic diseases, such as diabetes, kidney or chronic lung diseases are at high risk for serious complications.
The survey shows that similar symptoms with Covid-19
A survey conducted by Localcircles also states that these cases fuel fear among the public as the symptoms are closely similar to the covid-19 infection. The survey also found that young children and the elderly (over 50) are at the most risk of contracting these symptoms.
The survey received more than 13,000 reactions from residents of Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Faridabad and Ghaziabad. Among the total respondents, 63 percent were men, and 37 percent were females.
