The Directorate of Education (DOE), Delhi, has released the academic calendar for the 2025-26 season. According to the calendar, the academic session began on 1 April 2025. The summer holiday has been scheduled from 11 May to 30 June. However, 28 and 30 June is designated as Action Day for teachers, which is likely to prepare for pre-kings.
The autumn break will be from 29 September to 1 October, 2025, which will provide short -term relief for students. Winter holiday will be seen from 1 January to 15 January 2026.
According to the schedule, the compartment examination result (CCSE) for classes 5, 7, 9 and 11 will be announced on 8 May. The General Pre-Board Examination (CPSE) for class 10 and 12 will be held from 15 December to 31 December 2025, the results of which are the results to be declared on 7 January. General annual examinations for class 3 to 9 and class 11 are temporarily planned from 16 February to 21 March.

Schools in India include Good Friday in the upcoming holidays which falls on April 18, 2025. The Christian community celebrated Good Friday to celebrate Jesus Christ’s cross. On this occasion, there will be a holiday in schools across the country.
Some states will inspect a local holiday for Maharishi Parashuram Jayanti on April 29, 2025 (Tuesday). Schools in states like Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan will be closed.
In addition to the above holidays, schools are closed every Sunday. This time 6 April, 13, 20 and 27 are Sundays. Some schools are also closed on the second and fourth Saturdays, which comes on 12 and 26 April next month.
