Delhi government school admissions for classes 6 to 9 begin at edudel.nic.in

As per the official notice, the admission process for Delhi government schools in non-plan category will be in three cycles. Cycle 1 (Current) is only for fresh candidates (non-plan admission), and those currently studying in government and government-aided schools need to visit their schools for transfer or re-admission.

The last date of registration for the first cycle is April 17. On April 29, DOE will release the school allotment list for registered students of Cycle 1, and candidates included in the list will have to submit/verify their documents for admission to the allotted school. 30 April to 10 May 2024.

It is important to note that only parents/children residing in Delhi are eligible to apply for admission to classes 6 to 9 in government schools under the Non-Plan scheme.

Delhi School Admission 2024: Important dates for Cycle-1

Online Registration: 08-04-24 (Monday) 12:00 PM to 17-04-2024 (Wednesday) 05.00 PM

Demonstration of allotted schools: 29-04-24 (Monday)

Document Submission/Verification: 30-04-24 (Tuesday) to 10-05-24 (Friday)

Delhi School Admission 2024: Documents Required

The following documents are required while submitting the application form:

• Personal details like candidate’s name, father’s name, mother’s name, residential address
• Details of last school attended.
• Aadhaar number/UID of the child (desirable).
• The child’s bank account number, along with the name of the bank’s branch and IFSC (desirable).
• Date of birth of the applicant.
• Parents’ mobile number

“The online registration form has been designed in a simple format. It can also be filled through smartphone. However, if any parent needs assistance in filling it, they can contact the help desk at the nearest school. The desk will also assist parents in filling and submitting the online form,” the DOE said.
