Admissions for the 2025-26 academic session in private schools in Delhi will begin later this month. This has been indicated in a message issued by the State Education Department The process will start from November 28 The first list of candidates was released in mid-January.
Private, unaided and recognized schools in Delhi have been asked to upload their admission criteria and all other relevant points for open seats by November 25. Application forms will be made available by each school till Last date for submission of application 20 DecemberA non-refundable fee of A fee of Rs 25 will be charged for entry registration.
The first list and waiting list of selected children will be displayed by the schools 17 January Next year with their marks under the points system. The admission process will close on March 14.
The guidelines apply to Nursery, KG and Class 1 admissions – the Department of Education outlines the eligible age groups. Those applying for pre-school or nursery admission must be below four years of age by March 31 next year. Those applying for pre-primary or KG admission must be below five years of age as on March 31, while Class 1 students must be below six years of age. Parents can ask for age relaxation of up to 30 days through manual application. It may be provided by the head or principal of the school.
Eligible schools have also been asked to reserve 25% seats for EWS/DG category students and children with disabilities.
