There was an overwhelming response as over 1,200 flats were sold on the second day of booking under DDA’s affordable housing and middle-class housing schemes, an official statement said on Wednesday.
“So far, over 1,050 flats under the affordable housing scheme and around 250 flats under the middle-class housing scheme were sold by the evening of the second day,” the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) said.
“As per DDA’s commitment to issue demand letters within 24 hours of booking of flats, more than 1,170 demand letters have been issued online so far,” the statement said.
The DDA’s Sasta Ghar and Madhyam Vargiya housing schemes were launched on Tuesday, September 10.
More than 1,100 flats were sold within four hours on the first day of the housing scheme.
According to the DDA, the response has been overwhelming across all the categories offered under these housing schemes at various locations. Over 450 flats were sold in Rohini, 100 in Ramgarh Colony and all 41 flats offered in Jasola were sold.
Over 350 flats were sold in Narela, which is encouraging as Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has given a significant boost to civic infrastructure, and several projects are in the pipeline.
The upcoming education hub with all the university campuses, proposed international sports complex, institutes, court complex, police system and better connectivity have played the catalyst role in making Narela the preferred choice of buyers, it added.
DDA also said that single window enquiry on the website, seamless information for home buyers and handing over all property related documents to the buyers have helped in increasing customer trust and confidence.
The Development Authority has tried to provide facilities to all sections of the society, especially the affordable class, through the Cheap House Housing Scheme.
Further, the DDA said that it is committed to provide housing for all by providing affordable housing with all the necessary physical and social infrastructure and the housing schemes 2024 are a step in this direction.
