Dr. Kunal Kumar Jha, Head of Department of Post Graduate Astrology Department of Sanskrit University, said, ‘The Maharaja had donated Lakshmi Vilas Palace for the establishment of Sanskrit University. It is not appropriate to celebrate the birth anniversary of the Maharaja in a small room. Lakshmi Vilas Palace houses the Maharaja’s Durbar Hall and is used for other functions. But, choosing a small room for the chef himself is not at all appropriate.

Dr. Jha further said, ‘Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University was established by Maharajadhiraj Dr. Kameshwar Singh. He had donated Lakshmi Vilas Palace and such a huge plot of land. This is a great heritage of Mithila region for the preservation and promotion of oriental knowledge. But, a notification has been issued by our Honorable Vice Chancellor that the birth anniversary of Kameshwar Singh ji will be celebrated in the postgraduate department, which is inappropriate.
