The explosive mix of genre-bending themes such as paranormal mystery and romantic comedy will bring forth a unique anime blend with Dan Da Dan premiering this fall. Prior to the series’ new trailer debut, the famous hip-hop duo Creepy, well-acquainted with anime theme songs (Mashley: Magic and Muscles and Call of the Night), was chosen for the upcoming TV adaptation’s opening theme, “Otonoke.”
Otaku and manga enthusiasts will be overjoyed to know that this supernatural thriller series will not only stream on Crunchyroll and Netflix but will also be shown in cinemas worldwide before the OTT release date. On Monday, June 24, new eye-catching visuals for the adaptation of Yukinobu Tatsu’s manga revealed the addition of new cast members. Along with the new key visual teaser, a trailer also intrigued anime fans, taking the excitement level to a whole new level.

The brand new poster focuses on the five main characters (and a cat). Anime lovers will instantly recognize the voice cast lineup, especially since they have voiced important characters in A-list anime before. The new cast introductions include:
- Ayane Sakura, popular for voicing Ochaco Uraraka in My Hero Academia, as Aira Shiratori
- Kaito Ishikawa, best known for voicing Kageyama as Jin Enjoji in Haikyuu!!
- Nana Mizuki plays Hinata Hyuga’s character in Naruto as Seiko Ayase
- The original cast announcement revealed that Shion Wakayama and Natsuki Hana would voice the lead pair of Momo Ayase and Okurun, respectively.

dan da dan release date
Backed by anime studio Science SARU, with Fuga Yamashiro directing the TV adaptation, Dan Da Dan is set to stream on OTT platforms Crunchyroll and Netflix in October 2024. The exact release date is yet to be revealed.
However, before the streaming platform launches the series, the theatrical screening of the first three episodes, compiled as “Dan Da Dan: First Encounter”, will begin globally. Check out the release date schedule of this fateful love story that intertwines a mysterious war and adolescence below:
