Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Swati Maliwal, who has accused Arvind Kejriwal’s aide Vibhav Kumar of assault at her residence, has criticized the former Delhi Chief Minister, saying he hired the most expensive army of lawyers to defend her. “Today, when he is out on bail, he is being called the biggest leader of the party and they are saying that he has been jailed in a fake case. Even the Supreme Court said who keeps such goons in their residence. If these statements of his do not boost the morale of goons like Vibhav, then what will? The message is clear – even if you get beaten again, we will save you,” said Swati Maliwal.
Swati Maliwal continued her attack on Arvind Kejriwal, saying, “Every person who is a partner in all your wrongdoings is not a great leader. You are fond of having people around you who say “Wah Sir, Wah Sir”, that’s why the world has started looking blurry. Every second day you compare yourself with Maryada Purushottam Ram! So much arrogance is not good. If someone cannot take a stand for the woman MP of his party, then how will he take a stand for the women of Delhi?”
Vibhav Kumar was arrested by Delhi Police on May 18, 2024 for attacking AAP MP Swati Maliwal. A charge sheet has been filed against him and the court has taken cognizance of it. Later he was granted bail by the Supreme Court.
