The Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) on Friday announced the results of the class XII examination at its office in Imphal, which recorded a total pass percentage of 94 percent. The results were announced within a month of completion of the results.
The examination was held from 17 February to 26 March. A total of 29,065 students were admitted, and 28,909 appeared in 112 examination centers in the state. Of these, 74 centers were located in six valley districts and 38 in ten hill districts. Of the total number of students appearing, 27,175 successfully passed the exam.

Students appeared in three streams: Science, Art and Commerce. In the stream of science, Riya Khawaikapam of Comet School, Changangi Uchechan, topped the top position with 490 points out of 500. In the Arts stream, Encomination emerged as a topper with 479 points, Eneliton Knowledge Higher Secondary School, Sangakfam’s Kisham Hannah Devi. Warpam Lidia Devi of TG Higher Secondary School, Imphal topped the Commerce stream with 463 points out of 500.
According to officials, 89.95 percent of the students from government institutions passed the examination, while the pass rate for students of non-governmental institutions was 95.66 percent.
Students of Non-Governmental Institute topped the stream of science and art, while the commerce stream topped a student of a government institution.
Earlier, in relation to the leakage of question papers for the 2025 Higher Secondary Examination, the Cyber Crime unit of the Manipur Police arrested five persons.

Speaking on the result declaration, Secretary (Education-School) N Praveen Singh, the Government of Manipur, said, “I appreciate the council officials for announcing the results of the examination within a month. This declaration will allow students to apply for higher studies without any delay, which will help them to make a better career.”
