How Shahid Kapoor’s rugged look comes to life in Kabir Singh
“If you watch Kabir Singh, especially in the climax, Shahid Kapoor looks very clean-shaven, smart and extremely handsome. I mean, Shahid Kapoor looks very handsome. This is because the director is from the South, and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s characters, even when they are troubled, have a certain charm,” shares Aalim.
Describing the details behind the beard and hair, he said, “He drinks, he has flaws, he does everything, but despite that, when you look at the beard, we made sure to leave it natural in certain areas. “We didn’t make a lot of improvements just to sharpen the jawline.”
The thought process behind his hairstyle
Talking about Shahid’s hairstyle in the film, Hakim said, “Even the hair was styled in such a way that it looked a little square and heroic, but still had enough texture and messiness. It had to look messy, yet sexy. It shouldn’t feel like it was left untidy without any thought.”

He further emphasized why it was important to create balance for the character’s impact. “It’s very important to achieve that balance because he is the central character. If the audience doesn’t love them, they won’t invest in the film, no matter how good the acting is,” he concluded.
