CBSE has released the Class 10 and 12 syllabus for the academic year 2024-25 starting from April 1. Candidates appearing for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 or Class 12 board exams 2025 can download the syllabus for each. Subject by visiting the course section on the official website cbseacademic.nic.in.
The official notice issued by CBSE read, “Schools are requested to share the syllabus 2024-25 available on the Board’s website www.cbseacademic.nic.in with all students and teachers. CBSE Syllabus for Class IX-XII 2024-25 can be accessed at link-Secondary and Senior Secondary School Syllabus https://cbseacademic.nic.in/curriculum_2025.html.

The March 22 circular further said, “There will be no change in the syllabus and textbooks of other classes for the academic year 2024-25 commencing from April 1, 2024.”
CBSE has prescribed five compulsory subjects and two optional subjects for class 10 students. The curriculum for Class 12 students consists of seven core learning areas which include Languages, Humanities, Mathematics, Science, Skill Subjects, General Studies and Health and Physical Education.

Here is a step-by-step guide to download CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 syllabus:
Step 1: Candidates have to visit the syllabus section on the official website of CSBE
Step 2: Next, click on the tab reading ‘Secondary Syllabus (IX-X)’ to download the syllabus for Class 9-10. At the same time, click on ‘Senior Secondary Curriculum (XI-XII)’ for Class 11-12 syllabus.
Step 3: Subject wise details of the entire syllabus will appear on the screen.
Step 4: Download the syllabus of each subject based on your class.
Step 5: Take a printout of the downloaded files for future reference.

However, the notice states that the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) will soon release a new syllabus and textbooks for classes 3 and 6. “Consequently, schools are advised to follow these new curriculum and textbooks for classes 3 and 6 in place of the textbooks published by NCERT by the year 2023,” board director (academics) Joseph Emmanuel said, according to News 18. Report.
NCERT had earlier planned to introduce new textbooks for all grades up to Class 12 in the upcoming academic session. However, now only class 3 and 6 students will receive textbooks with the revised syllabus for the upcoming academic year which is under the development process.
