The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday rejected reports suggesting cuts Syllabus There are plans to conduct 15 percent relaxation in classes 10 and 12 for the 2025 board exams and open-book exams in select subjects.
The board issued a clarification after some news outlets reported CBSE has announced syllabus cuts for the 2025 board exams.
The report claims that these changes have been made to reduce the stress of the students.
However, the Board termed such reports as baseless and said that it has not taken any such policy decision.
The Board said, “The Board has not issued any such notice or made any change in the evaluation system or examination policy and information related to the policy decisions of the Board is published only through the official website of the Board or through authorized channels. “
CBSE also clarified that it has not made any changes in its examination system or internal assessment system, nor has any official notification been issued in this regard.

Earlier this month, CBSE withdrew recognition of 21 schools and upgraded six schools from senior secondary to secondary level after surprise inspections in schools in Rajasthan and Delhi in September, during which several lapses were found.
Of the 21 schools whose recognition has been withdrawn, 16 are in Delhi, while five of them are in the coaching centers of Rajasthan – Kota and Sikar.
“The practice of dummy or non-attending admissions is contrary to the core mission of school education, which compromises the fundamental development of students. To address this issue, we are taking a decisive action to stop the proliferation of dummy schools. And sending a clear message to all concerned, CBSE Secretary Himanshu Gupta said, institutions should resist the temptation to accept dummy or non-appearing admissions.
He said that important observations of the surprise inspection committees regarding irregularities found during the inspection were communicated to the respective schools in the form of a report.
Earlier this year, CBSE had canceled the affiliation of 20 schools for enrolling dummy students and ineligible candidates.
