CBSE has announced that it will issue show cause notices to schools violating the rules and is considering legal action against the offenders.
To maintain educational standards, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted surprise inspections in 29 schools in six regions, including Delhi. Inspections were conducted in Delhi on Wednesday, December 18, and in Bengaluru, Patna, Bilaspur, Varanasi and Ahmedabad on Thursday, December 19.
The objective of the inspection was to assess compliance with CBSE norms and affiliation bye-laws. Most of the schools inspected were found violating board rules including infrastructure norms and admitting students in excess of their recorded attendance capacity.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the board reiterated its commitment to maintain high educational standards and ensure strict adherence to its guidelines.
CBSE said, “These inspections represent an important step in the Board’s ongoing efforts to promote transparency, accountability and compliance among all affiliated schools.”
last month, CBSE has withdrawn the recognition of 21 schools Due to large number of non-attending students from class 9th-12th. This downgraded six schools from senior secondary to secondary level. The action was based on a series of surprise inspections conducted in 27 schools in Rajasthan and Delhi on September 3, 2024.
