The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 Mathematics examination ended on March 9, with both teachers and students describing it as difficult and lengthy.
As per the details, this year’s Mathematics question paper had 5 sections and a total of 80 marks. The remaining 20 marks are for internal assessment.
CBSE conducted its Class 12 Maths board exam 2024 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm for a total duration of 3 hours. Students were instructed to reach at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination and with the admit card.

Analysis:
Times Now quoted an expert as saying, “The CBSE Class 12 Maths paper was a bit difficult. The 1 marker question required a bit of calculation. Students might have found it a bit lengthy. However, the paper was entirely from NCERT. “
Meanwhile, Anil Ahlawat, director of MTG Learning Media, said that while the questions were moderate, some of the MCQs were tricky. He also said that those studying from NCERT will give the exam well.
Saita Dev Pachauri, mathematics coordinator, VidyaGyan School, was quoted by Times Now as saying, “Most of the questions were within the students’ understanding, reflecting a balanced approach in difficulty. The students faced difficulties with the questions framed within the case studies. These questions required an in-depth understanding of mathematical concepts, testing the application of theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios.”
