CBSE Practical Datesheet 2026: Schools have been directed to prepare the list of eligible candidates and coordinate with the regional authorities for external examiners and invigilators.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the practical examination schedule for the 2025-26 academic session. Schools in winter regions can complete their examinations between November 6 and December 6, before January. For non-winter zones, the examinations will begin from January 1, 2026.
“Accordingly the practical examinations/projects/internal assessments for the session 2025-26 for both classes 10 and 12 for winter schools are scheduled to be conducted from November 6 to December 6, 2025,” the official notice said.
Schools have been directed to prepare lists of eligible candidates and coordinate with regional authorities for external examiners and observers. CBSE said that internal assessment for Class 10 will be conducted only once. Practical examinations may be held in multiple sessions depending on the availability of the laboratory. Once the marks are uploaded, no changes will be allowed and any malpractice will be reported to the board.

According to the tentative schedule released by the board, CBSE Class 10 and 12 theoretical board exams for 2026 will begin from February 17. Class 10 exams will end on March 9, while Class 12 exams will end on April 9, 2026. Students should note that there will be two sets of Class 10 board exams, with the second set starting from May 15 and ending on June 1, 2026.
Class 10 exams will begin on February 17 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm with Mathematics Standard and Basic and end with Language and Music exams. Class 12 exams will also begin on February 17 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm with Biotechnology, Entrepreneurship and Shorthand (English and Hindi) and end with exams of Sanskrit, Data Science and Multimedia. More than 45 lakh students are expected to appear for the CBSE board exams next year.
