CAT 2024: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta will soon release the admit card for the Common Admission Test or CAT 2024. When released, candidates can download it from the official website of the exam iimcat.ac.in.
This year, the entrance exam for IIMs and other business schools is scheduled to be held on November 24. As per the official notification, the admit card for CAT 2024 will be released on November 5. The results of the entrance exam will be declared on November 24. Second week of January.
To be eligible for the entrance exam, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree with 50 percent or more marks or its equivalent CGPA. The minimum marks for SC, ST and PWD candidates is 45 per cent or its equivalent CGPA.

Candidates who are appearing in the final year degree examination and those who have already appeared in the degree examination and are waiting for the result are provisionally allowed to appear for the examination.
About CAT 2024 Exam Pattern
The test paper of CAT 2024 will have three sections –
- Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC)
- Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) and
- Quantitative Capacity (QA/Qty).
The duration of the test is 120 minutes. To solve each section, candidates will get 40 minutes. They will not be allowed to switch between sections.

CAT is conducted for admission to postgraduate and fellow/doctoral level professional courses offered by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). Many non-IIM institutes also use the exam in their admission processes.
For IIM admission, after qualifying the CAT exam, candidates have to appear in further selection rounds. They can check the admission policies of various IIMs on their respective official websites.
