India Canada Relations: Indian High Commissioner to Canada Dinesh Patnaik gave an interview. In this he targeted the pro-Khalistan groups. He also said that this is not India’s problem but Canada’s own security problem.

Relations between India and Canada are now normalising. Meanwhile, India’s new High Commissioner to Canada, Dinesh K. Patnaik gave an interview to Canadian TV channel CTV News. Patnaik said that India always respects the law and ‘never goes to any country and takes illegal action’. He said that ‘if Canada has any evidence then it should make it public. Just making allegations does not make the truth. He also told that at present he has been given security in Canada, but this situation itself says a lot. Taking aim, he said that in a democratic country like Canada, they are in need of security. He said, ‘I find it strange that a High Commissioner here has to live under security. I am safe, I should not be safe in such a country.
