what did the police say
Police said they lived at the address before the fire. Peel Police Constable Taryn Young said Friday that the fire has been treated as suspicious, CTV news channel reports. Taryn Young further said that ‘At this time, we are investigating this with our homicide bureau, and we are treating it as suspicious because the Ontario Fire Marshal has determined that this fire was not accidental.’

When asked about the possible cause of the fire, Young said, ‘As a fire marshal looking at something like this, I’m sure it’s very difficult when there’s not much left to see.’ Kenneth Yusuf, a neighbor of the deceased family, said that the family had been living in the street for about 15 years, and he had never seen any problems with them. Yusuf said he was informed about the fire last week by a family member who heard a big ‘bang’.
