Local people of Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh had earlier raised the demand for a government university. Now the possibilities of opening of this university have increased because according to AyraNews24x7 Hindi, budget has also been allocated for it. Executive Engineer of Public Works Department Chandrashekhar told the District Magistrate that the budget estimate is Rs 299 crore.
As soon as the budget for the university is approved, the construction work will begin and students will be able to enroll in it to study under various subjects. According to reports, the Public Works Department has also prepared the design and layout for the university.
According to reports, the university will be built in Hardaspur village. This village is situated in Amla tehsil of Bareilly district. This will increase employment opportunities and development possibilities in the village and surrounding areas. A ring road and a market will also be built near this university, which will further increase employment opportunities. Reports claim that the university will be established in an area of fifty acres. Due to the presence of Ramganga river, the development prospects in Hardaspur village were weak. Ramganga river extends for 650 km from Uttarakhand to Uttar Pradesh.
District Magistrate Manvendra Singh said that Rs 9 crore has been approved for purchasing the land. According to reports, the proposal related to the university will be passed after discussion in the cabinet.
According to AyraNews24x7 Hindi, the construction of the university will benefit those students who had to leave Moradabad for studies. A report was sought from the Irrigation and Water Resources Department to decide the location of the university. The report asked whether the place was safe from natural disasters such as floods. Only when the report confirmed the safety measures, further action was initiated.
The administration sent the report to the government and the Higher Education Department reviewed it. The District Magistrate said that the land of two persons will be purchased which was earlier becoming a hindrance in this project.
