BSSC CGL 4 Recruitment 2025: The vacancies for Assistant Branch Officer have been increased from 1,064 to 1,406, an increase of 342 posts.

Bihar Staff Selection Commission has increased the vacancies for BSSC CGL-4 Recruitment and Office Attendant Recruitment 2025. CGL-4 Recruitment vacancies have increased from 1,541 to 1,883. The vacancies for Assistant Branch Officer have been increased from 1,064 to 1,406, an increase of 342 posts. There were originally 4,388 vacancies in Office Attendant Recruitment 2025, which has now increased to 5,131.
The last date to apply for Office Attendant and BSSC CGL-4 Recruitment was November 21, 2025. The last date for submission of complete application is November 24, 2025.
BSSC CGL-4 Recruitment: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. The age limit for this recruitment is 18 to 37 years. Unreserved women get age relaxation of three years, OBC/OBC candidates also get age relaxation of three years, and SC, ST candidates get five years relaxation.
Matriculation from a recognized board or institute is required. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. The maximum age limit is 37 years for General Category candidates, 40 years for Backward and Extremely Backward Class candidates, 40 years for General Category Female candidates and 42 years for SC and ST candidates.
BSSC CGL-4 Recruitment: Selection Process
BSSC has announced that if the number of applications exceeds 40,000 then an objective type examination will be conducted to shortlist the candidates.
After the preliminary examination, BSSC will select candidates for the main examination, equal to five times the number of vacancies available, with a separate notification for this stage.
The preliminary examination will consist of General Studies, General Science and Mathematics and Mental Ability Test (Comprehension/Reasoning/Reasoning/Mental Ability). There will be 150 questions, each question will be of four marks. Candidates will have two hours 15 minutes to finish the paper, with one mark deducted for each wrong answer.
The preliminary examination will be conducted in both Hindi and English languages. In case of any dispute, the English version of the questions will be considered official. Guide books, photocopies, handwritten papers, notes, electronic devices etc. will not be allowed inside the examination hall.
