Billionaire’s daughter, won luxury life, then something like this reached jail

Vasundhara Oswal is the daughter of Indian billionaire Pankaj Oswal. He was arrested by the Uganda police in a false case of kidnapping and murder. After inhuman torture in jail, the case was dismissed.

Vasundhara Oswal was living a very luxury life in Switzerland. She is the daughter of Indian -origin billionaire Pankaj Oswal, who has a luxurious kothi among the snowy plains of Switterland. However, Vasundhara Oswal’s life was reduced to the boundary wall of the jail in a few months. Vasundhara, 26, was arrested by the Uganda police last year on false charges of kidnapping and murder of her former employee of her father. However, after some time it was found that the one who was said to be dead found alive in Tanzania.

However, during this time Vasundhara faced inhuman torture in the jail of Uganda. He claimed that he was craved for food and drink, not allowed to take a bath and prevented it from going to the washroom.

How did the matter start?
Vasundhara was arrested on 1 October 2024 and got bail on 21 October. He said that he was arrested without any valid evidence and warrant.

According to Vasundhara, the Uganda police forcibly searched her house. When they asked for a search warrant, the policemen said, ‘This is Uganda, here we can do anything, you are not in Europe.’

After this, he was asked to take him to the Interpol headquarters, but when he refused to go the same day, a male police officer forcibly picked him up and put him in the van.

‘Not allowed to go to the washroom’
In an interview to PTI, Vasundhara said, ‘I was kept in custody for five days and then put in jail for two weeks. My human rights were badly ignored. Neither food was given, nor water was found.

She further says, ‘My parents had to give me food and necessary goods through lawyers by bribing police officers. Once I was not allowed to go to the washroom, it was made a punishment for me.

Inhuman behavior in jail for 2 weeks
Vasundhara was first placed in jail of general criminals, but was later sent to a high-quality jail with dangerous prisoners. He said that he was illegally detained despite getting bail from the court several times. He said, “On October 10, when it became clear that the one who was being said to be dead is alive, even after that I was kept in jail.”

30,000 dollars were asked for bail!
Vasundhara said that she was asked to deposit US $ 30,000 and passports for bail. However, he handed over all the documents, he was not released and kept illegally in custody for 72 hours.

On 19 December 2024, the court dismissed the case against him, but Vasundhara said that the government of Uganda should rectify its mistake. Vasundhara says, ‘We had invested in business there, but because of her system I had to bear so much. It is now their responsibility to improve their system.

At the moment, she is considering legal measures so that she could get justice of suffering in jail.
