Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced to extend the deadline for submitting online applications for Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) till March 1. This is the second extension given by Bihar Education Board for registration, which will facilitate the interested candidates to apply for the examination. STET is conducted to assess the aptitude of candidates aspiring to become secondary level teachers (Class 9-10) and senior secondary level teachers (Class 11-12). However, the exam dates after the extension have not been released yet, however candidates can download their dummy admit cards from the same website.

Step 3: Register by providing basic details like contact number and email ID.
Step 4: Access the application form using your registered ID and password.

The application fee for one paper for candidates belonging to General, Backward Class and EWS categories is Rs 960, while SC, ST and Physically Handicapped candidates will have to pay Rs 760. The fee for those applying for both the papers of General, Backward Class and EWS categories is Rs 1,440 and for SC, ST and Physically Handicapped candidates it is Rs 1,440.
Bihar STET exam consists of Paper 1 and Paper 2 of 150 questions each, in which 100 questions are based on prescribed topics and 50 questions cover the art and other skills of the teacher. The duration of the exam is 2.5 hours and it will be conducted online. To qualify, general category candidates need to score a minimum of 50 per cent marks, while Backward Classes are required to score 45.5 per cent, Extremely Backward Classes are required to score 42.5 per cent and SC-ST, Disabled and Women candidates are required to score 40 per cent.
