BSSC CGL 2025: Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has advertised 1,481 vacancies for various posts, which will be filled through graduate level joint competitive examination (CGL 2025). The application process for this recruitment drive will start from 18 August and end on 17 September. Eligible candidates can apply on the official website of the Commission bssc.bihar.gov.in.
Educational qualifications and technical qualifications such as eligibility criteria are different for each post. Candidates can check the notification hosted on the official website for more information.
Candidates who are at least 21 years of age and are not more than 37 years of age on the cut-off date can apply for these vacancies. However, the category candidates will be provided to reserve according to rest rules in the upper age limit.
If the commission receives more than 40,000 applications, it will conduct an examination using objective-type questions to shortlist candidates to the candidates.
On the basis of preliminary examination, BSSC candidates will shortlists the candidates equal to five times the number of vacancies for the main examination. The Commission will publish a separate notification for the main examination.
Preliminary examination will cover the following topics:
- general Studies
- General science and mathematics
- Mental capacity testing (understanding/logic/mental capacity)
The preliminary examination will have 150 questions, each of which will have four marks. Candidates need to try paper within two hours and 15 minutes.
For each wrong answer, a mark will be cut.
In the preliminary examination, the medium of question paper will be Hindi and English. In case of any dispute, the English version of the question will be considered valid.
Candidates will be allowed to bring books – each for three subjects – in the examination center. BSSC said that only NCERT, BSEB and ICSE boards will be allowed textbooks.
Guide books, photocopy of books, handwritten documents, notes, electronic equipment etc. will not be allowed inside the examination hall.
