Undeterred by the mounting pressure, the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) on Friday made it clear that the 70th Integrated Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination (CCE) 2024 held on December 13 across the state will not be canceled over allegations of question paper leak.
Speaking to reporters here, BPSC Examination Controller Rajesh Kumar Singh said, “There is no question of canceling the entire BPSC examination held on December 13. BPSC has canceled the preliminary examination held at Bapu Examination Complex Center only due to one disruption. “Decided to cancel.” As part of a conspiracy to disrupt the examination, a group of unruly candidates will be held on January 4 at some other center in the city.
“We have information that a group of private coaching institutes are instigating the candidates… and they are mobilizing the students to demand cancellation of the entire examination. Their demand is baseless,” Singh said.
This statement by the BPSC Controller of Examinations comes in the backdrop of several political personalities extending their support to the protesters who have been protesting round the clock for over a week and on one occasion even tried to storm the BPSC campus , due to which the police had to be called. Last week, RJD leader and former deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav had expressed his solidarity with the protesters, whom he met at the city’s protest site Gardani Bagh.
Yadav also wrote a letter to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar demanding cancellation of the examination. Similar indications have also been made by state Bihar Congress chief Akhilesh Prasad Singh and independent MP from Purnia Pappu Yadav, who is from the India Bloc.

“We will not let anyone, including Khan sir or Guru Rehman, use our movement for their own benefit,” one of the protesters told reporters.
