Bihar School Examination Board is conducting special examination as well as compartmental examination for the students who have failed in the matriculation examination. These examinations are going to start from 4th May and continue till 11th May. Five examination centers have been set up in Madhubani district for the examinations. This year a total of 2187 students from the district will appear in these examinations. District Education Officer Javed Alam confirmed that all the center superintendents have received necessary instructions.
According to the District Education Officer, Rameshwar Plus-2 High School, Rajnagar High School, Watson Plus-2 High School Madhubani, Middle School Bhowara and Girls High School Rajnagar have been selected as examination centres. Measures have been taken to prevent cheating during the examination. The exam will be held in two shifts: morning session from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm and afternoon session from 2 pm to 5:15 pm.
Recently, the District Education Officer informed Local18 that candidates will get additional 15 minutes in each exam shift to review the question paper. For visually impaired candidates, Bihar Board has specified that they can opt for Home Science instead of Mathematics and Music instead of Science based on the old syllabus. Visually impaired candidates will take the exam of Music instead of Science on 9th May and Home Science exam instead of Mathematics on 10th May, both exams will be held in the first shift.
Bihar Board announced the results of class 10th exam on 31st March. The pass rate was 82.91 percent, which is higher than last year’s rate of 81.04 percent. On the other hand, the intermediate results were declared by the board on March 23. Of the 1,291,684 students who took the exam, 1,126,439 passed, making the overall pass percentage 87.21.
This compartment exam provides Bihar Board class 10th and 12th students another chance to pass their class if they fail in two or more subjects. Meanwhile, the special exam is for those students who missed the annual exam due to delay in form submission.
