There are reports of 12 more people dying due to lightning in seven districts of Bihar.
“In the last 24 hours, 12 people have died due to lightning in Bihar, the families of the deceased will be given an ex-gratia of Rs 5000. In an official release issued by the Chief Minister’s Office, it is said that an ex-gratia of Rs four lakh each will be given to the families of the deceased.

According to the latest forecast of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), heavy rainfall is expected in Bihar from July 9 to 11.
The weather department has predicted “heavy rainfall” in Bihar and Odisha on July 8, Arunachal Pradesh on July 11, and Assam and Meghalaya on July 10 and 11. Heavy rainfall has also been predicted in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura till July 11.
According to the weather bulletin released on July 7, heavy rains are expected in many areas of India in the coming days. Heavy rains are expected in Konkan and Goa and Madhya Maharashtra from July 9 to July 11. Gujarat region is expected to receive heavy rains on July 9, while Kerala and Mahe are likely to receive heavy rains on July 8.
Telangana is expected to receive heavy rainfall on July 8 and 9, followed by coastal Karnataka on July 9. North interior Karnataka is likely to receive heavy rainfall till July 10 and south interior Karnataka from July 8 to July 10. These forecasts indicate varying and potentially impactful weather conditions in different parts of the country.
