This was the time when Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez relationship problems started to sour their relationship.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s marital problems began on their honeymoon in Lake Como, Italy, an insider told Page Six. The couple did a lot of shopping and PDA in many public places during their honeymoon. They were caught on camera on several occasions.
The source said, “He was unhappy about the paparazzi following him. He is an international superstar, and he behaved as if it was a surprise to him that he was being followed.”
The source added that when the couple wasn’t in front of the cameras, “they barely spoke to each other, even though this was supposed to be the happiest time of their lives. He led her to believe he was a changed man, and that was short-lived.”
‘He doesn’t want to [the entourage] And all the drama that happens in his house.
Another source said Affleck got to know his new love when his sobriety “started settling into normality.” When they began seeing each other again, “He was just calming down … He was in a vulnerable state, and their chemistry played whatever role … he was in this frenzied, excited state,” the insider added.
Affleck has previously spoken openly about his struggle with alcohol addiction. He last went to rehab back in 2018.
Once Affleck began embracing his quiet life, the romance reportedly began to fizzle out. He wanted privacy, and the attention that comes with Lopez’s celebrity status bothered him, the insider said. “He doesn’t want to [the entourage] and all the drama that goes on in her house,” the source added.
Lopez has officially filed for divorce from Affleck after two years of marriage. The actress filed the papers in Los Angeles on Tuesday, August 20, and listed the date of separation as April 26, 2024.
Sources previously told the outlet that Affleck was “very protective” of Lopez, and so she refrained from filing for divorce. “He’s angry. She’s humiliated him. He was the one who initiated the getting back together… He made a huge deal out of the fact that she was the love of his life,” a source said in the past.
