In fact, a rare species of bees has been found at the place chosen for this project in America, due to which the company may now have to follow many regulations. According to media reports, an employee said that after the discovery of this rare species, it may be very difficult to take this project forward.
Mark Zuckerberg says that if this deal had gone ahead, Meta would have been the first AI data center to run on nuclear power. However, he also clarified that the company will have to take a decision soon because its competitor companies are also investing in nuclear power.
Worry about getting ahead of rival companies
Not only Meta, but Google has also taken steps to operate its data centers with nuclear power. According to reports, Google has set a target of setting up seven mini nuclear power plants by the year 2030. In this direction, the company is working together with startup Kairos Power. Amazon and Microsoft are also working on the use of nuclear power to meet the energy needs of their data centers.
