Barot Valley: Barot, located in the Chauhar Valley of Mandi district, is a very beautiful and attractive tourist destination, which is rapidly pulling tourists towards it. Situated at an altitude of about 6000 feet above sea level, this small hill station is situated on the banks of the Uhl river. Initially it was settled for the power project, but today it has become a favorite tourist destination of nature and adventure lovers.

About 60 km from the market, Barot is surrounded by dense forests of cedar. Tourists coming here can enjoy activities like tracking, fishing, camping, rappling, zorbing and bonfire. The glaciers on the high peaks of the valley keep the weather cool here and more rain makes it even more attractive.

Specialty of trout fish

Another identity of Barot Valley is trout fish found here. This fish, which was established from abroad in the British era, is found in cold water. Its taste is excellent and the price is also high. A trout fish sells from 600 to 900 rupees, causing local people to do good business.

Stay and Fun Activities
Tourists visiting Barot can enjoy tenting, camping and bonfire. There are also many hotels here which facilitates stay at affordable rates. Recently, Zorbing Ball Fun Activity has also started here, which is a special attraction for tourists.
