Babil Khan spoke openly on social concerns
When the actor was asked about his absence from parties, he said, “Because I am not a star kid. Baba was not a contemporary star in any sense. But now all that has become a matter of chatter. He is different. You can’t put it in a box. I sometimes go to parties. I have social anxiety, and that’s not the only reason. I like to be alone. I like to work on who I am.”
Babil Khan recalls heartbreaking memories of Irrfan
Babil also told that Irrfan’s huge fan following would often scare him. The actor said, “So when a bodyguard comes and takes him away because the crowd is running towards him and that hand is pulled, for the child, I think it is very painful. I had a distance from my father, a physical distance because he was shooting a lot, but when he was there he was very affectionate towards me.
On Irrfan’s birth anniversary, Babil penned a heartfelt note on Instagram and wrote, “Do you know what’s hard? To remember the ecstasy in his voice when he raised it high to shout Babiluuuu!!! Every time he looked at me. Remembering how painful it would be to lose him for the barren times when he was away from shooting. It’s impossible to remember how his beard felt on my fingers when I scratched his cheek while he read scripts or how my fingers gently rested on his eyelids when he blinked. His voice was deep, yet it evoked in me nothing more than a gentle prayer, a prayer that can rise from within one only when some outside force quiets your existential panic.
