Netflix announced that Aryan Khan’s first series will be about ‘an ambitious outsider navigating the dazzling but intriguing world of Bollywood’.
Netflix has just announced that the streamer and Red Chillies Entertainment are coming together for a special untitled Bollywood series in 2025. Produced by Gauri Khan, the series marks Aryan Khan’s debut as a producer and director. News of this partnership and the mega project was announced this week in Los Angeles at an event hosted by Netflix Chief Content Officer Bella Bajaria, which showcased some of the most ambitious international titles coming to the service next year. According to the press note, based on the backdrop of the film industry, this multi-genre project promises a seamless, entertaining ride through the adventures of a charming, ambitious outsider navigating the dazzling yet intriguing world of Bollywood. The series, he says, blends a high-level narrative with self-aware humor, featuring blockbuster cameos and larger-than-life characters for an unforgettable, cheeky take on Indian cinema.
This upcoming Bollywood series will be the sixth joint release of Netflix and Red Chillies Entertainment after the hit dark comedy Darlings, critically acclaimed crime-drama Bhakta, cop-drama film Class of ’83, zombie horror series Betaal and The Spy. Thriller series Bard of Blood.
