New Delhi. Italian bike manufacturer Aprilia has finally launched its RS457 sports bike in the United Kingdom (UK). According to UK currency, the price of this bike has been kept at GBP 6,500 (approximately Rs 6.79 lakh) and it is being exported from India. Aprilia RS457 competes with Kawasaki Ninja 400 and Yamaha YZF-R3. A2 license holders will be able to buy this bike in the United Kingdom.
The brand is expected to get good sales from this bike in the UK. However, the Aprilia RS457 is more expensive than most of its rivals. It comes at a higher price than the Yamaha YZF-R3 RS457.
The RS457 gets power from a 457cc, liquid cooled twin cylinder engine. This engine generates around 47bhp of power and 43.5Nm of peak torque and is mated to a six-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch. 17-inch alloy wheels have been installed in the bike. This stylish bike has been fitted with up side down telescopic fork at the front and monoshock suspension unit at the rear. This bike is equipped with dual-channel ABS for better braking.
Apart from this, the bike has features like traction control system, full LED headlight, engine maps, traction control, ABS, anti-roll system and three riding modes. The bike has a 5-inch TFT display for the instrument cluster.
Aprilia RS457 is available in three colors in India as well as international markets. The Italian brand is currently producing this bike at its plant in Baramati, Maharashtra.
