Taking a dig at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav on Tuesday said Kumar has apologised with folded hands for the Janata Dal-United joining the BJP-led NDA alliance to form government in the state.
Tejashwi said that when Nitish Kumar apologized, all the RJD MLAs saw it. The RJD leader also ruled out the possibility of a future alliance with the Nitish Kumar-led JDU.
Tejashwi said, “When he came to our house, he was apologising with folded hands. He apologised in front of all the MLAs, they were all witnesses. How many times has he apologised with folded hands in the House, saying he has made a mistake and now he will not join the BJP?”
He said, “His oath means nothing. No one trusts him because he can change his mind at any time. Twice we took pity on him and spared his life and both times he showed his true form. This time it means nothing.”
With the aim of strengthening RJD, Tejashwi Yadav started “Aabhar Yatra” on Tuesday 10 September.
He said, “Today is the first day of our yatra. We have come for the Karyakarta Darshan and Samvad program. Our aim is to communicate with the party workers and listen to them. We will listen to the advice of the workers on how to expand the party and how to strengthen the party and will work in that direction. The party will be strong only when the workers are strong.”
Speaking on the issue of law and order in Bihar, the RJD leader said, “Murders are happening continuously. Criminals have become unbridled and they no longer fear the police. Nitish Kumar’s credibility has completely eroded. He is not able to maintain law and order. Everyone is worried. Incidents of bank robbery and kidnapping are happening every day. The CM has no interest in crime control. He is under the illusion that everything is going well. His only job is to abuse the opposition.”
BJP leader Munna Sharma was shot dead by unknown criminals in Patna on Monday morning. It is being said that he was shot when he tried to resist chain-snatching.
