Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) is all set to conduct the engineering examination of Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) tomorrow, May 18 to May 23, 2024.
Notably, AP EAPCET 2024 started on May 16, with the exams for Pharmacy and Agriculture streams being conducted on the first day and today (May 17). The exams are being conducted in two sessions for three hours each – the first session starts from 9 am to 12 noon, while the second session starts from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

Now, candidates must be aware of the guidelines and instructions before appearing for the exam. In this article, we will look at the set of guidelines issued by APSCHE.
Required Documents:
- Filled online application form along with hall ticket and latest color photograph attested by a Gazetted Officer (or) Principal of the college where the candidate has studied the qualifying examination.
- Candidates will have to affix their signature and left hand thumb impression in the space provided in the application form in the presence of the invigilator.
- Attested copy of caste certificate (only in case of SC/ST category candidates) must also be brought.
Important Instructions:
- Hall ticket is an important document and candidates are required to preserve it carefully. Any tampering with the hall ticket will automatically disqualify the candidate.
- Candidates must reach the online examination center two hours before the commencement of the examination. Candidates arriving late even by one minute before the scheduled time of the examination will not be allowed to enter.
- If a candidate fails to appear in the given slot, he/she will be considered absent.
- Allowed items: One fine ball ballpoint pen (for rough work, working sheets will be provided by the testing center).
- Prohibited Items: Any text material, calculators, document pens, slide rules, log tables, electronic watches with calculator facility, printed or written material, pieces of paper, mobile phones, pagers, or any other devices.
- If a candidate is found with any prohibited item, his/her candidature will be cancelled, and he/she will be debarred from future examinations. Equipment will also be confiscated.
- The entrance exam is conducted for 3 hours and the question paper contains a total of 160 questions which include 80 questions in Mathematics, 40 questions in Physics and 40 questions in Chemistry.
- For each question, out of the four answers given, only one is the correct answer. There will be no negative marking or deduction from the total marks if no answer is given to any question.
- All calculation/writing work is to be done on the rough sheet provided only. Once the examination is over, the rough sheet should be handed over to the invigilator on duty. Candidates are required to write their hall ticket number on the rough sheet.

Exam Guidelines:
- Candidates are advised to check the following details in the hall ticket – Name Date of Birth Gender, Category, Examination Center Name, Date and Time of Examination.
- As mentioned above, candidates must reach the examination venue at least 2 hours before time to complete the search and registration formalities well in advance. The registration desk will be closed 5 minutes before the exam.
- The candidate must produce the hall ticket for entry into the examination when asked to do so by the authority. If a candidate does not have a hall ticket issued by the Convenor of AP EAPCET-2024, he/she will not be allowed to appear for the examination under any circumstances by the Center Superintendent.
- Once the examination begins, no candidate will be allowed to enter the examination center under any circumstances.
- Candidates should only find the seats allotted to them and occupy them. If any candidate is found changing the room or seat on his own, his candidature will be cancelled.
- The candidate must verify that the question paper is available only in English and Telugu languages on the computer.
- Candidates will not be allowed to carry any luggage inside the examination centre.
- Smoking and eating is prohibited in the examination room. Tea, coffee, soft drinks or snacks are not allowed inside the examination hall.
- For any assistance, candidates should contact the Center Superintendent/Inspector in the room.
- Candidates cannot leave their seats or the examination hall without the special permission of the Center Superintendent or the concerned invigilator.
