There was always a sequel on the card for a simple favor. It was some time that director Paul Pag would go back to the wicked and entertaining basis of two women living on the edge. So of course, Anna returns to Kandrick and Blake Lively, but this time, the story is not so much about motherhood, but … is more about everything else. Murder, destruction, mafia … as the audience is taken to the beautiful places in Capri, Italy for marriage. It all promises a lot of thrill, but partially saves. Base
It begins just after the original ends, with our resident Vlogger along with the Amateur Sleith Stephanie Smis (Anna Kandrick) tried to calm his nerves as his latest release is not being sold. A stressful relationship with his son does not help much. What comes in the form of a shock on the day of her book reading is the dramatic entry of Emily (Blake Lively), who has recently released from jail and is also getting married in Italy. When she wants to make Stephanie as a maid of her honor, she will not take for an answer.
The person involved here is Dante (Michel Moron), who is definitely involved in the mafia, as he is also the successor of an empire run by his mother Portia (Elena Sophia Rikki). Stephanie the first half wonders why she is called in the first place, and it is a part of the passive-aggressive insult directed on Emily whenever they are together in a scene. Two actors are sports, and in these scenes are like lightning in a bottle. “Do you think I’m not really in love? Or do you think no one can love me?” Emily asks, which throws Stephanie for a second. Then there is a splashing pool-side session, where Stephanie explains whether Emily is sewing herself in the world of this ‘The Godfather’ of the mafias, she should remind himself that it does not work well for dyene keton in the end. Emily is very smart who did not think before.

Blake Liveli and Anna Kendrick have a ball
Blake Lively, those chic and wide fit are brilliantly styled, clearly a ball here. She brings the right amount of unpredictableness to her share, and is a true anchor for the film. Kandric, also, is a pleasure to bend so well in comedy and bring your concerned energy into scenes. This is a lethargy when the script does not trust these two actors enough and crowds the second half with many twists and turns. Instead of all the wickedness of all this, the film matters in such a way that there is no dramatic arc to sink one’s teeth.
final thoughts
The point is another simple favor, in fact it is not known where to stop. After a handful of twist, the gag slipped and falls from the rock. The severity of these twists gradually turns into ridiculous. One of the main shockers actually comes from somewhere, calls back to a pending love affair, and then gulfly proceeds to the next setup. It becomes like a pile of revelations, one after the other, competes among themselves in the race to increase the most eyebrows. An I wish the film trusted his own instinct a little more. Nevertheless, another simple favor remains fickle and vaguely wicked, providing enough escapest fun for air through some hiccups.
