Congratulations to Windbreaker fans who have been eagerly awaiting the announcement of Season 2, especially since the original installment ends its final chapter today. Right after the final premiere of Season 1, which is scheduled for June 28 at 12:26 a.m. JST, official sources confirmed that the series will, indeed, return soon with an even stronger punch.
The TV anime adaptation of Satoru Ni’s popular manga series quickly secured a place in the hearts of many otaku, who called the anime premiere one of the best releases of this spring.

Directed by Toshifumi Akai, the first season of the Windbreaker anime is set to deliver a bitter-sweet ending on Friday. Produced under the banner of renowned anime studio CloverWorks, the strong action series will complete its first chapter on the small screen with a 13-episode roster. The final episode of the season has already paved the way for a new beginning in 2025, featuring some new faces who won the hearts of the audience instantly.

The anime’s official accounts have only announced that the sequel will air in 2025. No firm release date has been released yet.
Crunchyroll made another nice reveal: it will stream the new season following its grand return.
Along with the announcement of Season 2, a compilation video revisiting the events of the first season was also released.
