Amid seat-sharing talks with the Congress, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday said the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will win all Lok Sabha seats in the state. Bhagwant Mann said, “It will be 13-0 (in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections). AAP will win all 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab.”
Meanwhile, the positive news for the India block is that the Aam Aadmi Party and Congress have formed an alliance to contest the Chandigarh Mayor elections. This alliance marks a positive start for both the parties who are also holding talks on seat sharing in Delhi and Punjab.
Senior Congress leader Pawan Kumar Bansal said that under the agreement between AAP and Congress, the ruling party will contest the mayor’s seat, while the grand old party will contest the posts of senior deputy mayor and deputy mayor.

AAP candidate Kuldeep Kumar Tita will contest for the post of mayor, while Congress candidates Gurpreet Singh Gabi and Nirmala Devi will contest for the posts of senior deputy mayor and deputy mayor respectively.
But with Bhagwant Mann expressing confidence of winning all the Lok Sabha seats, there is a possibility of a break in the seat sharing talks with Congress once again.

BJP has 14 councilors in the 35-member Chandigarh Municipal Corporation. There is also an ex-officio member, MP, who has the right to vote. AAP has 13 councilors and Congress has seven. Shiromani Akali Dal has one councilor in the House. Voting for the posts of Mayor, Senior Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayor will be held on Thursday.
Many opposition parties have come together under ‘India’ to remove the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from power at the Centre. Although the seat-sharing between the Congress and the Congress, which recently lost power in the two state assemblies, has not been finalised, talks are going on at various levels ahead of the Lok Sabha elections 2024.
