People of Christian and Buddhist religions live here. This country is also known in the world for its best education system. This country is different from the world also in terms of age. President Yoon Sook Yeol imposed martial law in the country last week. A week later, the police raided the President’s office. Yoon was not present at the Presidential Office Building when the raid took place on Wednesday. President Yoon and his associates are currently facing charges of rebellion. Travel ban has been imposed on many including the President. South Korea is going through a period of political turmoil. Actually, President Yoon Sook Yeol announced emergency martial law on Tuesday (03 December) night, but it was repealed after the Parliament voted against it on Wednesday. Martial law remained in force only for a few hours. However, the martial law that was implemented for a few hours shook the politics of the country. Yun’s move to impose martial law was criticized by opposition parties as well as the ruling People’s Power Party. Police arrested former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun on Sunday. Kim had suggested President Yun Suk Yeol to impose martial law. After martial law was imposed, Kim resigned, which the President accepted on Thursday.
